My name is Nathaniel Burch Jr. I was born in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. I found my very first interest in music at the age of 5 and began taking piano lessons at the age of 9. Soon after, I discovered that I could carry a tone and held and decent tone. I was one of those wanna-be-singers who enjoyed hearing their own voice, but was fearful of what other people would think. With the support of my family, I began to sing in front of crowds in order to gain comfort in front of people. When I was 12, moved to Alabama and participated in the middle school choir, and I later moved to high school choir and even the pianist for marching band. After joining the school choir, I realized that I wanted to be just like my choir directors; my choirs became my mentors. With the mentoring came intense training, criticism, and rebukes that helped pushed me to love and appreciate music even more. I am now a Vocal Music Ed major at Jacksonville State University and I'm pursing a career in becoming a vocal coach and a choir director in a high school setting.
